Comments on Details Page

As suggested by BoultVolt in the comments of the last post, I've added a comments field where you can add notes about your car that will show up on its details page.  Just login to edit them.

Multiple Volts per Account

One of the problems with the design of the database has been that one account could only accomodate one Volt.  On the other hand, an Onstar account can have multiple cars attached to it.  I ran into a bug a couple weeks ago where I was picking up data for someone's Traverse instead of their Volt because I was looking at the wrong dataset (15 MPG, 0 EV Miles!).

Anyway, I know some people out there are planning on getting a second Volt, so I've had to update the site to support this.  The refactoring is complete, and it touched almost the entire site, so I'm sure I've introduced some bugs - let me know if you run into any issues.  If you're one of the people getting another Volt, the site should just recognize it when it's added to your Onstar account.   However, I don't have any way to test this, so who knows... :)

Welcome / Electric Miles per Day

The thread over at gm-volt.com is getting pretty big, and no one can be expected to read the thing from the start anymore, so I figured I'd create a blog to chunk up announcements and make things more readable.  I'll still probably post over there in addition to this blog, at least for a while until people start checking here.

A couple of people have been wondering how the Electric Miles per Day achievement is calculated, and the answer used to simply be your last reading for the day minus your first reading for the day.  However, that wasn't really optimal, since you didn't really get a full 24 hours to log the achivement.  I finally sat down tonight and wrote the code to look in any 24 hour period, so if you've gained any miles for this achievement today that's why!  Let me know if you still think you're missing any miles.

PS - If you're out there, WATT UP, I'd love to hear about how you got your 212 miles... as far as I can tell there's no shenanigans in there... :)
